As the only RN in the office, my position serves many functions. I am a liaison between you, the client, and the midwives. While it is often difficult to contact one of the midwives directly, you can reach me and I can then direct your question or message to Robin or Kathy or Michelle. In addition, I may ascertain whether or not you need to come to the office to directly see them. I am also able to help with answering many questions, prescription renewals and results of lab testing.
Please do not feel put off if you are directed to me prior to speaking with one of the midwives. Often it is a faster route to them. Being sent to their voicemail directly may be a longer process as they are only able to access their voicemail the next time they are in the office which may not be for a few days to a week later.
Some of my other responsibilities include: writing letters for clients, IUD insurance verification and ordering, and problem solving.
