Meditation 101 Workshop
A Workshop for Beginners
In this workshop, learn about the powerful shifts you can make toward peace and happiness by establishing a regular meditation practice. If you have never meditated before, or you are confused about what meditation really is, this is safe space to explore and learn. If you have some experience with meditation, and you're looking to refine your skills, this is also a great opportunity.
Dee will cover the basics about meditation, including commonly believed myths. You will be assisted in finding a comfortable seat that will enable you to practice comfortably. Dee will guide you carefully through a variety of meditation approaches. You will also explore breathing practices that support and enhance the calming of the mind. There will be time to ask questions and share experiences.
You will leave with strategies you can use to implement a simple, daily home practice. The workshop will end with a calming visualization exercise done from a comfortable resting position, to leave you feeling restored and refreshed.
This class is open to men and women. Space is limited so advance registration is recommended.
