Music Together Parent/Child Classes
|
Build a special bond with your child through music. In our Music Together® classes, you’ll sing, dance, play instruments, and giggle together. Each week your teacher will present a well-planned lesson, introducing new songs and playing with more familiar ones. Families receive their own songbook and award winning CDs to enjoy at home and in the car. Class size is limited to 12. Children can attend our Mixed-Age Class from birth through kindergarten through all 9 of our song collections. Because the early months are so important, Music Together offers two options for babies. Babies 8 months and younger by the first day of class are welcome to take our Mixed-Age Class (either registered on their own or free with an older sibling). Alternatively, they may take the Babies Class, an introduction to Music Together which allows for intimate, quality time for caregivers and infants. Families learn about their child’s musical development and are intro- duced to developmentally appropriate music activities that may be re-created at home. A supportive community develops among the families which often extends beyond the music class. Caregivers – parents, grandparents, nanny – are welcome.
Music Together, a research-based program, has been enjoyed by families around the world for 27 years. Registered teachers attend in-depth trainings and song presentation workshops with optional advanced Certification. Our classes are offered through Sounds Good Westchester.
