Nutrition in Pregnancy Group

Becoming pregnant is a happy and exciting time, but knowing what to eat for yourself and your baby can be confusing and frustrating. Dispelling the myths, deciphering the mixed messages, and providing safe and healthy recommendations can help guide your food choices.

This group, led by Kate Gardner, MS, RD, provides information and support about managing some of the challenges in each trimester. We will discuss pregnancy myths, strategies to overcome challenges, and how to take care of yourself and your baby in the healthiest way possible.

The discussion topics will include weight gain and maintenance throughout your pregnancy, foods to eat and avoid, how to manage heartburn and constipation with food, and how to eat to best nourish your child.

All pregnant women are encouraged to join this group – even if it isn't your first pregnancy! You will have the opportunity to get to know other expectant moms and ask questions about what to expect and anticipate in the upcoming months. Partners are welcome!
